I had this light only a few months. It was nice having the battery indicator which made it easy to find in the dark but after one dip in the lake it never functioned properly. It would blink, then it wouldn't turn off and eventually I had to send it back for a refund. It's bright and fancy but not suited to wet climates or on river/canoe trips. Bottom line, leave the microchips at home.
