Dalbello Sports IL Moro Custom Alpine Ski Boot - Men's    Read other reviews of this product

Boomproof   11-27-07

Dalbello Krypton Il Moro. If you have a low volume need...look no further, Il Moro, snug/tight all over, like a glove for your foot ... like foot orgasm. Lightweight, excellent design for function and appearance. Soo customizable. In your own house you can bake the Intuition liners in your oven (preheat to 250F for ten minutes, place liners on mid rack, turn off oven, let liners heat for 10 minutes at sea level, stick custom foot bed in liner using a toe cap under your sock , put liner in boot...pack heel...stand in ski stance for 10-20 min) for an incredible custom fit. Super easy lateral cant/cuff adjustment will have your stance perfected in 20 minutes. 2 inserts adjust for/aft cuff in literally seconds. I am not a bootfitter...but the Il Moro makes it seem like I am. I used to have Xwave 10...roomy like a tractor trailer for your foot...or a pornstar's *#$&@ ... and feels like concrete...and not very customizable. If you love snug fit, ultra customizable, hi performance mid-to-stiff expert boot...umm...do I have to say it???

SmartWool Ski Racing Light Sock    Read other reviews of this product

Best ever   11-27-07

Smartwool thin...used to use mid-weight (when I was a nube). Thin is the way to go...improves fit and circulation...actually warmer than thicker. Awesome fit...comes to right up under your knees...high enough to tuck in your boot cut base layer. Possible sock of the year...if I had my say. Merino keeps down stink...avoid synthetics like the plaque if possible. You will love this sock.

Hestra Army Leather Gore-Tex XCR Glove     Read other reviews of this product

Woah   11-27-07

Hestra XCR Glove...possible the best glove of all-time. The burly construction, the goat leather, the cuff restraints, the fit, the warmth, ...all together on one glove. Choice of Chugach Heli Guides for a reason. I had Hestra XCR short...awesome glove for mild temps. Gauntlet version will take you way beyond sub-zero. And the glove is a total custom fit ...thanks to the leather construction...molds to you hand with time...like a over baked Intuition Liner for your hand. $130 bucks?...I'd pay $200!!

The North Face ST Apogee Jacket - Men's    Read other reviews of this product

Steep Tech Apogee   11-14-06

Incredible jacket. Heavy duty construction feels bomb-proof. High neck zipped up option almost completely insulates against powder snow and high wind. Multiple easy access pockets. Very secure feel with waist strap. I predominately ski dry snow regions in CO. However, I took a trip to Whistler last season, though waterproof, the jacket had a damp feel in this environment at the end of the day - More traditional Gore-Tex shell would like benefit here - this is the only 'fault' identified. When I strap on the Apogee, I feel ready to take on any terrain - go for it!
