Solid boot. The boa lacing system is very cool, making it very easy to lace up and even easier to get out of your boots. I haven't noticed any "pin-point" pressure that some people claim the boa laces create. The gel toe tips, and gel tongue are very comfortable, and the air pump locks your heel in place like cement, but still comfortable of course. DC boots run a bit small, make sure you order one size larger than your current boots. I previously rode Burton Freestyles, and a 13 was too snug, so I went to a 15 in these DC's and they fit right (I wear a 14 street shoe). I haven't ridden in the boots yet sadly, though I'm sure DC will live up to it's name for excellent boots. I'll try and remember to give a follow up review once I hit the hill.
