Very functional as a running daypack

This pack is incredibly stable when trail-running. If you need a pack that is very stable, breathes, holds two water bottles, has an mp3 player pouch and has a center pocket that's large enough for a wallet, keys, cell phone and a small medkit or food; then this is the pack for you. Great quality from Mountainsmith. |

Odd shoe...from size to shape

This shoe has an incredibly wide toe-box and fails to tighten down on the upper portion of the foot. When running, I found that the shoe had a tendency to "slip" left and right, creating a scary scenario for the ankles. This may stem from the fact that each pair has two sizes, i.e. 10/10.5, making it a hard fit. I would not recommend this shoe. Try the Salomon Speedcross 2 or the Salomon XT Hawk for trail runners that provide stability, ankle support and lightweight functionality. |

Great trail runner

This is a great shoe for all trail runners. I run the Pine Mountain Trail in Pine Mountain, Ga; a rocky and sloping trail. This shoe stays where I put it on my foot. The lacing system is amazing and allows for quick tightening and release at any time. Also, since I have weak ankles, the added ankle support is a necessity. The laces actually come around the ankle and add even more support. The reason I give it a four out of five is because the Salomon GCS Pro is a better shoe, but it's been discontinued. This is a close second. |
