The Zag FR84 skis are truly ‘all-terrain’. During the 7 days in Alta, I tried them on hard pack, ice, crud, crust, mogul & of course powder [boot to knee deep]. They have the same soft flex as my old B3 [similar to the new B4]. As they are torsionally stiff, edge hold is good on ice. The large tips and big sidecuts enable them to be highly maneuverable in powder/mogul. They tend to float on crud/crust. The skis are very responsive and hence energy efficient to use. Quite a few skiers [including instructors] asked me what the skis were. Get yourself a pair and you won’t regret!
