Typically Great Stuff From Icebreaker

I'm a huge fan of the Icebreaker merino wool underwear--I wear it snowboarding and snowshoeing in the coldest, wettest conditions and it stays warm, dries quickly, and feels great next to my skin. These "legless" pants are basically knickers, which keeps the bottom of the leg out of my snowboard boots (which can be fairly painful if the underwear or socks bunch up near the top of the boot). A good value. |

While these mittens were wicked warm, the palm surfaces deteriorated just as everyone else described—literally fell apart after a couple of days use. However, customer service accepted the return and issued a credit no questions asked, so while I'm disappointed in the mittens themselves, I'm very pleased with the experience at the site. |

Good mittens—fairly warm. A bit odd that there are two pairs of gloves inside the mitt—separating the fingers into gloves kind of defeats the purpose of mittens, so sometimes my fingers get cold. Plus, they can be a pain to put on because of all those layers. The pocket for the hand warmers is on the back of the outside glove, down at the back of the hand, which is not where the heat is needed. Someday someone will make a mitten with mitten liners and the warmer pocket down by the fingers. Until then, these are pretty good. |
