The Varius Guide Jacket functions as a great shell. Layer underneath as little or as much as you need. I am very tall and the arms are perfect, the fit is generally perfect (which is usually difficult). Completely stops the wind, moisture, rain, snow, etc. Just fantastic. Has a number of pockets for all of your goodies (mp3, sunglasses, hat, keys, $$). Great for activities that require a lot of upper body movement.

This is a soft, comfy vest that moves with you and packs up into nothing. But... I really like the fit of most North Face gear, but this one is a little too loose around the arms for my liking. Lets in some of the breeze, which kind of defeats the WindWall. I should have ordered a smaller size but it is still great on cool nights and under a shell.

I love these pants. They’re comfortable, easy to wear, and dry. I am just so pleased with my purchase. Initially, I purchased them because I needed to find pants long enough for me (very long legs). But my legs are warm and toasty even on the coldest days and happy on all of the others.
