Good product--just need to be smart enough to set them up   01-23-06

The Cinch is a good product with nice features: greater ad-hoc adjustability than Flows, similar easy entrance to Flows, and ability to strap in while sitting heel-side. Since I have to guess, I would say that the people with the negative reviews failed to insert the cable under the retainer on the highback, hence it kept falling out. Unfortunately the bindings come with the cable outside, and the instructions do not tell you to anchor the cable under the flexible metal clip. It was seemingly obvious, but apparently not to everyone. The ratchets work flawlessly, at least on the ‘06 model. My girlfriend found the Cinch to be a great improvement over the Flows, since she has a hard to fit foot and experiences foot pain if her boot/binding setup is not dialed in just right.

Stable and responsive, a great all-mountain ride.   01-25-06

The Zeppelin has plenty of torsional stiffness that brings a lot of stability when charging over less than perfect conditions, holding your line when approaching a hit and landing big airs. I started landing tricks with confidence that I would have never even tried before. The down side of the stiffness is that you have to work for butters and presses, and they will never be as good as a true, softer freestyle board (I weigh 160 and ride the 158). If you ride all-mountain, this board should be high on your list. The graphics are subtle, so you won't be making any big statements with its looks. This board is much more about doing than being seen and more about fast lines and air than pressing jibs.

Good binding when setup properly, but not perfect   01-23-06

I have been riding these bindings for the last few months. It is very difficult to adjust the over-foot strap while on the slopes or in the bindings. If there is any tension, like while your boot is in the binding, it is very difficult to make small adjustments. This means you have to take boot out, guess how much to loosen or tighten each corner, stick boot back in to test, and repeat as necessary until you are dialed in just right. When they are correctly setup, these bindings are stiff and offer great response. But if your setup gets changed for any reason, it is back to the iterative trouble-shooting to get them dialed back in. Also, it is very difficult to get in or out of Flows while sitting on your butt, which can be a problem in some cases.
