Very comfortable to ski in all day and work very well in bright sunlight. Flip side of that is that they are not what you want on an overcast day or in deep shadows. Field of view is great, and as with other Oakleys I've had you can easily forget you have lenses in front of your eyes when the sun is out.

Works as advertised, a great layering piece and it's very well put together. I got it mainly for skiing and keeping the PacNW rain at bay off the mountain and it does both well (removable hood and powder skirt are helpful there). If I had to pick a nit, it would be with the pockets: there are several but they are not very voluminous, don't expect to get anything more bulky than a Clif bar in the chest pockets for example, there’s definitely nowhere to stash, say, a pair of goggles. By the way, if you are wondering about the "Red Hot" color, it looks more orange to me in the online pictures. Under tungsten light indoors it does seem a bit that way but outdoors in daylight it's definitely more of a red—the brighter the sun, the more red it gets.

Put this on indoors and you are going to be instantly too hot, it's that warm and cozy. Outdoors the windproofing works just like they say it does. I wore this layered under a MH Gore-Tex shell to ski. I was in a slow group so there was a lot of time standing about in temperatures around freezing, and I was comfortable all day.

The ability to keep out the wind is pretty amazing—it works very well. The seams and multiple materials felt a bit odd when I first put it on, but having worn it about to do "break in" for a day or two it's very comfortable. It’s warm enough for anything short of long stints in freezing or near freezing temperatures.
