great altimeter watch

I've used my S6 for two full years now, and it's become indispensible for winter backcountry, trekking, and mountain biking. Can't imagine heading into the wilderness without it. The altimeter is quite accurate (although you still need to understand how an altimeter works...). Altitude-based alarms are a great help when visibility is low. The compass is helpful for general use, although obviously is not set up to use with a topo. Other than that, it's nice to track the total ascent/descent for a day of snowboard or mountain biking. Where else can you get this kind of info on your wrist? I've tried other altimeter watches (to remain nameless) and was very unimpressed with reliability. Suunto has it together. |

1. super light 2. comfortable 3. vent system works great (both for keeping warm, and for cooling off) 4. audio earphones available What more could you want? I love this helmet. Put it on and never notice it until I take it off at the end of the day. |

Unquestionably the best

I'm now on my third pair of Ions, having worn out the previous two pairs. I ride about 40-50 days a season in a mix of backcountry, resort riding, and terrain park. I love the Ions because of: 1. Incredible comfort 2. Light weight plus durability 3. Burton's lacing system *rocks* I was initially worried about the lacing system, but it held up perfectly through all of last season for me. The speed and adjustability are amazing, will never go back to old-fashioned laces. The only thing I'd point out is that these boots have a medium flex to them. If you need an ultra-stiff boot (you know who you are), then look to something like a Driver X. (Which I also have, and which also rock.) |

my long-time favorite

Now on my second pair of Spy Orbits - love these goggles. I took my old pair and put in a low-light lens, to use for storm days. Basically, they: 1. fit great with a helmet 2. have excellent optical quality 3. are highly resistant to fogging 4. look sick I have about 150 days of history wearing Orbits, so feel very confident in recommending them. There's no way you should be disappointed with these. Worth every penny. Only other goggle I liked almost as well was the Oakley Wisdom, but it didn't fit as nicely with helmets. |

everything is spot on

I love this jacket because it's: 1. light 2. compressible 3. warm when damp 4. cut to layer under a shell Even though it insulates when wet, I'd advise wearing something weather resistant over it if there's precipitation. 100% satisfied. |
