Perfect book bag, decent day pack
12-27-08 ![]() |
College senior who bought this pack to haul my macbook and heavy books around campus. This thing is perfect for that duty. The smaller outer pocket has organizer sleeves and pen/pencil sleeves these things are not big enough to hold larger grip pens/pencils. Onto the main compartment, this thing is HUGE. It can easily hold a computer and 3-4 thick text books. in the main compartment there are two more sleeves at the top of the of lid. these are perfect to stash your Ti-84 or eye glass case. The straps of this pack are very wide and very comfortable with a small to medium load. unfortunately the straps are a little close together and with a heavier load this becomes an issue. as a day pack this is only mediocre. there is a small hook in the laptop sleeve to hang a camelback. the back of the pack is pure neoprene which leads to a very sweater back, I would have liked to see some mesh integrated to help ease this problem. |

This retro jacket give you a unique look that no other company has pulled off as well as patagonia. The windstopper layer makes this a perfect go-to jacket for all of fall and early winter. The quality of the jacket is exactly what you would expect for the price and the sizing runs true. |

perfect fall fleece
12-29-08 ![]() |
Get that classic Patagonia fleece with the Snap-T fleece. This is just a simple fleece pullover but that is why it is so perfect. The size runs baggy. I'm 6'2" 210 went with an XL and it is a big baggy in the sleeves with a perfect length. |

What you would expect for the price
12-27-08 ![]() |
This pack is great and exactly what you would expect for the steap price. the top compartment is water resistant with a water resistant zipper. meaning your stuff in the lid wont get wet in a light rain. the should strap and hip belt are thick and comfortable and support heavy loads well. This is the burliest hip/ shoulder straps that I've seen on a pack of this size. this bag is not overloaded with pockets and water bottle carriers, for me this is a good thing. there is one compartment on the top of the lid and one on the bottom of the lid, there is also a kangaroo pocket on the outside of the pack. This pocket is small and is only good for small items that you might want to get to with out unpacking everything. |

Correction to previous review
01-08-09 ![]() |
The blade of this shovel actually WILL fit in a Dakine Helipro 20L. the outer compartment of that pack actually extends up above where the zipper ends and goes up behind where the goggle pouch is giving sufficient room for the shovel to fit in to the pack. |

good idea
01-07-09 ![]() |
it is a good to have a core system where you are able to buy more cores that mach up with the key you already have. I have had durability issues with them though. 2 out of the six that i have for my ski/bike rack just wont turn and thats only after a couple years of hard use. |

good storage

fits all large Oakley sunglasses perfectly. These wont protect your shades from being smashed by something big and heavy but it does keep them from getting scratched or getting banged around in the back of your car or backpack. |

Best fork mount around
01-06-09 ![]() |
Yes its pricey but it has lots small features that make it worth the money. The rear attachment point slides very easily on the rack unlike some of the other yakima products. The release on the ratchet has never gummed up or gotten stuck like the ones on cheaper models either. The rack is also very sturdy it has zero twist to it. This rack has held my kona dawg and bianchi veloce secure at high speeds up to 80 mph. I have never once feared my back coming off while using this rack. |

Not much else to say that hasnt been said these things are light and very bright. Best of all is the ease of use on this product. There is no half button pushing like on Black Diamond head lamps. |

a little racoonish
01-06-09 ![]() |
I got these and had Rx polarized lenses put in. They are def. a large frame that kind of remind me of the OTG racoon sunglasses, but that doesnt mean these things dont ball hard! They are a great light weight frame and the polarization is like XRAY vision! |

Stylish
01-06-09 ![]() |
These are great sunglasses for chillin, grillin, and listenin' to bob dyllan. They are a little on the heavy side but it is not really an issue since you wont be wearing these to do any kind of physical acitivity. I've owned these for a couple years now and have been rather brutal too them. The lens are still clear and the frame still fits fine although the arm screws come loose from time to time and i've had the nose pads replaced, but that would be expected if you hang on to a pair shades this long. |

Style and function
01-06-09 ![]() |
Got these polarized glasses almost three years ago when they first came out. They've been on several MTB trips hiking trips fishing trips road trips pretty much any kind of trip these things have been on them and survived. They have a sem-breakaway hinge on them. Meaning if you step on them and the arm will probably just pop off and can be put back on, at least it was that way for me. As far as polarization goes these have a circular polarization like a camera filter would have I dont know why they do it on a pair of sunglasses but it is definitely essential if you're going to be wearing these around the water. |

Awesome pack, use it for what it is designed for
01-03-09 ![]() |
This pack is the tits for FR and DH mountain biking. A full face helmet and pad can be tightly strapped to the pack. the straps really tighten down so that you gear doesn't sway around on you. Their is also room in the pack to carry essentials, tool, tube, pump, cliff bars. The pack fits nicely on the back and is well ventilated. |

Too thick
01-03-09 ![]() |
picked up some of these to wear backpacking. First off they are NOT quick-drying they take a long time to air dry. The material is comfy, but it is too thick. These keep you too warm for summer backpacking warm to the point that it is uncomfortable. To just wear everyday they are fine, but don't drop the cash for them. |

Got it cheap
01-03-09 ![]() |
Picked up one of these jacket real cheap. This is not one of the nicest jackets i've ever owned but not one of the worst jackets i've owned. I mostly wear the jacket with the liner around town and to class during the winter months. With the liner in the jacket is extremely warm. It has kept me warm walking to class(1 mile) in 0-10 degree weather. As far as waterproofness this thing has not failed on me yet. |

Got some guns in 189cm 2 years ago. These ski absolutely rip. They are fat and light. They excel in the steep and deep but blast through crud, and crush on groomers. For a large ski they can make pretty quick turns. |

Decent
01-03-09 ![]() |
I got a pair of these to wear wet wading and fishing from a drift boat in the summer and spring. These are very comfortable sandals that provide a lot of protection. I've found these to be a bit slippery on river beds. If you plan on being mostly dry while wearing these then they would be great. If you think you'll spend a lot of time walking in rivers wearing these look elsewhere. I would like to see Keen get some Vibram soles on these. |

Large and light
01-03-09 ![]() |
picked up the transfer 7 to carry in a helipro 20L. the blade of the shovel does NOT fit fully in the outer shovel compartment, the top 4 inches or so right where the handle goes into sticks out the top. The handle does fit fine in to the side handle carry loops. The build and design quality is the best I've seen in any shovel. the trapezoid shape shaft in an ingenious idea so that the pins cannot become misaligned. |

Great jacket
01-03-09 ![]() |
Picked up this jacket on sale in a XXL (6'2" 210 with a baggy fit) It is definitely the highest quality jacket that I have ever owned. The jacket seems to run a little short with the sleeve lengths being true to size. This jacket is simple with two inside pockets and three outside pockets. This jacket is a pure ski jacket, meaning it lacks hand warming pockets and a removable powderskirt. |

previously the anthony boronowski pro model glove, with that said these things crush. They are a very warm glove. I have never had my hands cold or wet. The only worry i have with these gloves is that ski edges might rip the leather on the palms, just something to be afraid of. |

AMAZING
12-27-08 ![]() |
I bought one of these 3 years ago to run double duty, under a ski shell in the winter and with waders in the fall. This thing works perfect for both. Under a shell this is perfect insulation for weather anywhere from 0-35 F. As mentioned sizing is a little on the small size. I'm 6'2" 210 pnds and the L is a little short not extremely snug, but not baggy. I preferred this fit for under the shell. quality is top notch as expected from patagonia. the R1 grid material on the inside makes this jacket extremely comfortable. |

Quality goggle, kind of small
12-27-08 ![]() |
These are great goggles, with quality that you would expect from Oakley. They fit great with or with out a helmet (salomon patrol ace.) The only downside is that they have a somewhat limited field of view, this would probably not be an issue for those with smaller heads. The wisdoms or the crow bars are better for those with a larger melon |

Cheap and good sound
01-06-09 ![]() |
If you're looking fora cheap sound isolating head phones these will do the job. They are sound isolating in the same way that ear plugs are, which i find nice. These headphones stay in fine during no jarring activities walking around, riding a bike, lifting. They have a tendency to fall out during more jarring activities such as running. The build quality is reflected by the price: cheap. The plastic around the jack is concerning especially if your one to wrap your phones around your music player. |

Only OK
01-04-09 ![]() |
I bought these socks to wear hiking and to wear skiing. They are a comfortable sock that provided adequate cushion and insulation. These socks fit in an odd way. Once they are on they fit fine but they dont seem to stretch enough to just pop them on. Durability is great. I had one pair last about 2 years running double duty as ski socks and as hiking socks. |

Comfy, not durable
01-03-09 ![]() |
I got a pair of these just to wear around town and to class. The shoe is very comfortable and runs a little small. I wore these for about 4 months and the majority of the tread on the bottom is gone, I expected them to last a lot longer. I imagine the softer tread increases grip while trail running, but since that wasn't what I was doing in these I find it slightly annoying. |
