I had zero experience with skins before getting the G3's, so I have nothing to compare them to. However, I’m no stranger to hiking, bootpacking, and snowshoeing, so I think I can offer the neophyte's review. Fitting the skins was tricky, mostly because I didn't want to screw up; the directions obviously helped, but weren't the easiest to follow. Diagrams of each step would have helped for those of us who are visual learners! For my fat twin tips, the only problem has been the tails staying attached over the curve of the ski. However, with the adhesion of the skin to the base, this hasn't been a problem. Otherwise, performance has been stellar, and the on/off process simple.
