light and dry

Gore-Tex rocks! I sat in slushy spring snow without fear of a soaked bum - cold yes because these pants are not insulated - but never wet. The full length zippers on the outside of your leg are great for venting and do not leak at all. I was concerned about the lack of separate gaiters around the boot but the elastic cords pulled tight and stayed tight, creating essentially the same effect with less material. In the back country, I had some trouble with the plastic buckles that connect on each side of the waist coming undone under my backpack hip straps. When I wasn't wearing the suspenders and had the zippers open for venting, the pants sometimes fell down. With the suspenders on I was fine, and again this only occurred under the hip belt of my frame pack. My only warning, these pants are not for the fashion-concerned. The gathered waist gives you a lovely dumpy butt look, especially if you have the zippers open for venting at the top. |

Work it without smelling!

I recently started replacing all my polypro base layers with wool because you can wear them multiple days without washing and never smell bad! These pants rock, just like everything from Icebreaker. The length is perfect with ski or snowboard boots - no material bunched up at your knees. I haven't worn them in super cold conditions yet, but they performed extremely well in spring conditions - keeping warm even when they were sweaty and drying fast when I opened the vents of my shell pants. They are not the least bit itchy, even after a couple washings. I thought it might be a pain that you can't dry them in the dryer but it wasn't a problem because they dried much faster than I expected. I highly recommend these pants for women who play hard and need gear that can keep up. |

Pretty good product but didn't fit me

Tired of having a soggy bum or having to waterproof every couple weeks, I went on a mad hunt for super technical gear for women, I'm talking Gore-Tex or Gore-Tex level protection. I found only a few options, and even fewer that looked good. The Moroccan tile print was pretty cool, especially when decked out in it from head to toe. Unfortunately the size small in the pants fit funny and the mediums were way too big! The smalls came up uncomfortably high on my waist and the stiffness of the waterproof zippers at the hip made them poke out and pull in a funny way when I sat down. I think a woman with a more womanly shape (smaller waist, bigger hips) would fit these pants better than I do. The venting and pockets of the pants are outstanding but I ended up with size small Burton Henna pants. They have flow through venting (openings on both sides of the thighs) and the rise wasn't as high. |

My first Non-Flow Binding

These bindings are great but you definitely have to take the time (preferably not on the mountain) to do all the adjustments. If your foot is not centered front to back properly the toe cap strap can slip off your toe. Having never owned any bindings except Flows, I didn't know where to start and the instruction booklet explained it all with helpful diagrams. Great purchase at a great price and they look sweet too with their psuedo- Louis Vuitton pattern. |
