Black Diamond Kilowatt Telemark Ski    Read other reviews of this product

Western quiver of one   12-30-06

I mounted these up with the Hammerhead bindings, and have been thrilled on every ride I've had. For such a fat ski they hold an edge well, surprisingly they move edge to edge like a much narrower ski. Overall, another home run for BD. They turn like the havocs, and float like the Verdicts. If your looking for a ski that will handle anything HERE YOU GO.

Scarpa T1 Telemark Ski Boot    Read other reviews of this product

Bigger and better then ever before.   12-07-07

I just picked up the new T1 and I have to say its by far better then any other boot on the market. I've been in the T2X and Ener-g's and these blow them both away. (I still prefer my T2X for loooong tours and multi-day stuff.) The comfort from the new Intuition liner incredible. Its a bit stiffer then the old Scarpa liners, so the fit is just as comfy, but with more responsiveness and I imagine they'll pack out less as well. Also, I did some home baking on my liners and they turned out fine. If you've never done this before it is best to go to a boot fitter. One note is that these soles do lack the rocker of older T1's so if you are planning on doing longer tours I'd recommend one of those new fangled free pivot bindings. Stop thinking and buy these, you'll not regret it.

One of the best boats I've paddled.   05-13-07

If you want a stable, yet playful touring boat this is the best out there. The 16 is a bit more maneuverable then the 17 version. If you looking for a good boat for rock gardens and day trips this is worth every penny. In my view drop skegs are far better for paddling then a rudder and the skeg on this boat is the best design I have seen.

Floating high   07-26-07

These skies are a wild ride on all but the fluffiest pow. However, If you get the chance to ride them in a deep light day the ride is one you will not soon forget. Super playful and fun. Point these in any direction and your heading there on a pillow of shear bliss. The Pontoon is a quintessential quiver ski and only for people that live in areas that receive huge dumps.

liquid gold   01-22-06

This bag is great the insulated hose does a good job at keeping the water from freezing. However, I'd still recommend that you blow a little air into the hose so that you never have to suck ice. Not a backcountry bag. It is best used as a water tank inbounds.

Scarpa T2X Telemark Ski Boot - Men's    This product is no longer available

Not your gradpa's leathers.   01-02-06

This boot is great! I'm an alpine skier that is just picking up tele and have been impressed with the comfort and support. It does fit a little small. I usually wear a size 8.5 in street shoes, but in this boot I had to get the 26.0. Also, the ideal fit is a little tight when you fist put it on. Because after you heat it the liner expands a little to give you more room in the toe box. Also once you heat it the fit is outstanding! I usually have to go to a boot fitter like Surefoot to be happy with the fit of a boot, but the thermo liner fit my foot perfect. Overall a great boot I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a crossover piste/off piste tele boot.

Kayak dry bag made right!!!   06-24-07

If you Kayak, you'll want this bag. It fits in the bow or stern very nicely so you can maximize space. A key for long tours. Also the separate air chamber is a life saver and keeps you boat floating in case you do take a swim. BONUS NOTE: Fill the air chamber with water and let it sit in the sun for a couple of hours. Then, hang and the inflation valve lets you take a wonderful warm shower. Great for washing off that wet funky smell.

Pearl Izumi SyncroFloat 2 Running Shoe - Men's    Read other reviews of this product

Feet of silver   07-05-07

These shoes are great for a person looking to run half on half off trail; or if the trails you run are fairly flat, and packed down these shoes will be the ticket your looking for. They are very light and the lack of seams truely does reduce pressure points. However, if you run very rough trails you may want to look for a shoe with a bit more support and protection. All in all a great fitting/running shoe that is home running all but the roughest trails out there.

Harmony Standard Sit On Top Backband    This product is no longer available

back rest of large proportions   06-24-07

This thing is huge. I build my own custom kayaks and I bought this to put in my touring boat. Super large size makes it harder to deal with. However, the size also helps because it supports your lower and middle back for all day comfort. Bottom line, If your tired of your hips being sore after paddling your sit on top, get this and feel comforts warm embrace. Its worth every penny.

This is a great boat for anybody looking to get into kayak touring. It handles a large load very well, and is super comfortable. The only complaints are how much it weathercocks in the wind, but the rudder helps with that.

This is a great looking down jacket for a great price. While I just received it and haven't put it to much use; I have to say I'm impressed with it's light weight, and soft feel. For sizing if your looking for a technical fit I'd go down one size. However, if your getting this as a relaxed fitting around town jacket, I'd follow the sizing chart.

Booted goodness   02-27-08

I've never been a big fan of boots. Lets be honest, They're heavy, cumbersome can get wicked hot in the summer heat. However, when the trail gets muddy and the talus gets loose, a good pair of boots are indispensable. If your looking for a boot thats light, stable, and very very comfortable with little break in time. Look no father. These boots give you solid heel hold, but still have a roomy toe box that helps keep your toes moving and grooving. After trying 6 pair of boots I settled on these and have no regrets. Pick up a pair today.

This little piggy whent to the market....   07-05-07

I have to admit I was a little hesitant to try this sock. It reminded my entirely to much of a sock I saw my sister own in the 80's. However, after having ran many miles in mine. I'm happy to report that these are great socks. They eliminate all the friction and pressure that your toes and toenails can cause.

Pimp Chimp fleece..... I love you   01-15-07

This jacket is rad. I dig the fleece mapping, and it helps to hold in just enough heat that all I wear under this is a mid weight baselayer when I'm skiing on Piste. It's a little heavy for backcountry use, but I'll still take it up hiking if its nuking.

Good for all around skiing.   02-17-07

This ski was fine, but I wasn't super impressed. It was a bit soft to have great edge hold, and it chattered on the groomers. In the powder it skied well, but by no means is it a good powder ski. If your looking for a ski that does a little bit of everything I think you'd like these boards. Skis well with a T2, and light binding

I bought these for my girl friend. She has a pair of over mitts that came with terrible fleece liners. They were so loose she was not able to do anything dexterous in them. Then, I bought these and she can function without every having to take them off. This helps to keep her hands dry and warm. Key to a relaxed happy touring partner.

Best thin sock out there.   12-24-07

If you have wider foot or higher volume feet you'd be doing your self a favor in picking up a pair of these socks. The wool is supper thin and soft, they do a great job of reducing friction and make my feet very happy. Wide feet = thin sock because it takes up less volume in the boot allowing for a better fit. Narrow feet = thick sock as they do take up volume allowing for a better fit.

I simply love this shirt. I've owned a ton of sick clothing. Yet this is the only shirt that I feel comfortable wearing into the office to work. Converted a watch hater   06-24-07

Plain and simple; I hate having stuff on my wrists. However, this watch converted me. super easy to use features have made me a watch wearer. Altimeter is very accurate. Like all you do have to set it before you leave, however it stays within 15 feet for the rest of that day. Which if you've owned other watches you'll know that is not to shabby. The heart rate monitor works well also. The strap is as comfortable as can be expected. I'm a sweaty guy and have had no problems with the strap taking on moisture. All around this is a great buy.

Agressive binding   03-01-06

The O2 had a rough start, but currently it's one of the best tele bindings on the market. The under foot cable gives you great forward pressure on your tip, and helps you carve big aggressive lines. The only negative is the cartridge's spin loose during a hard day of skiing, but a little removable lock tight put a quick stop to that.
