These were purchased for my picky husband. Gear that doesn't work right or is a pain is a big negative in our household. No worries with the Atlas Series 8 snowshoes. He's a happy camper, although likes the bindings on my MSR Lightning Ascents better. Oh well, live and learn. They still do the job and he likes them a lot better than his older model Atlas with all nylon webbing bindings.
