Great cartridge, Katadyn has definitely improved their design. The cleanable screen and integrated charcoal filter are great additions. They take an already top-notch filter and up the ante. For those of us who just can't trade our heavy filters with bad-tasting tablets, this is our filter.

This bag is very light, compacts smaller than an ultralight Therm-a-Rest, and kept me plenty warm on 40 degree nights on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. If you just can't handle dropping another $300 on another Western Mountaineering or Marmot Atom, the Phantom 45 is the only choice around.

Nice, warm, and versatile pants. I used them this last weekend up at Mammoth, they kept me warm and dry the whole time. A little pricey, but they work as advertised. There could be a little more adjustment in the waist, but overall the pant still works fine with a belt.

Very nice jacket. Light, durable, and warm. Mountain Hardwear does it again. This jacket is almost up there with Western Mountaineering's Flight Jacket, at less cost.

These shoes are great! Light, breathable, and awesome grip on the trail. The shoe size may run a tad on the small side. I bought a 10.5, my normal size, and these are just a little smaller than I'm used to. If you normally run a little big, I recommend ordering a half-size up. For the price, these can't be beat. The only thing they don't have is a waterproof Gore-Tex membrane, which would be nice.
