I'm a big fan of merino wool products from Ibex, Icebreaker and Smartwool. This gaiter is so soft and warm I don't want to take it off when I get to work. I just wish it was tapered/shaped a bit, so that it would drape over the shoulder and create a snug fit. Overall, I am very happy and would recommend this gaiter.

The Marmot Evolution Half-Zip is an excellent shirt and shell for winter running. I live along the Hudson River in New York State and the wind can be very strong and cold in the winter. Around 40F the windshirt can be worn next-2-skin as suggested. When it's colder or very windy, I wear a silkweight or midweight baselayer underneath. This shirt equilibrates very quickly and keeps me consistently warm regardless of my energy/heat output. It never overheats and vents moisture rapidly. I'm more motivated to get up early and start my runs because I know I will be comfy. Note that this shirt provides little to no insulation and is at its best when the wearer is generating heat. The FastDraw Plus is a great way to keep hydrated during medium distance runs. I personally don't like having things strapped to my body when I'm running so I am happy with the mesh hand grip and its integrated stash pocket. The "high flow" valve is great, but also needs to be used with care or you will end up firing water into your airway. The top developed a small crack after about three months but it didn't affect performance or cause any leakage. I have sent it back to U.D. and they will be sending me a new top soon. Good customer service.
