First the positives, this vest is made to last. The fabric is durable and heavy, the seams are tight, and the zippers are sturdy. The pockets are numerous, inside and out, and generously sized. The quality of this vest is excellent, and it seems like it would hold up well for many years. But I wasn't at all pleased with the shape or styling. The vest feels very bulky and uncomfortable, probably due to the heavy outer fabric. It doesn't collapse or conform to the body at all. The shape is very square and boxy, and the length is very short, over 2in shorter than my TNF Nuptse vest. Overall, not a good purchase, even on sale.

I've wanted one of these forever, and finally broke down and bought one this year. I couldn't be more pleased, and I wish I hadn't waited so long! This jacket is very lightweight and comfortable to wear, but extra toasty warm. I was skeptical about its warmth potential when I first tried it on because it's so light, but it keeps me warmer than bulkier jackets I've had in the past. The fleece inside the collar and hand pockets is so cozy and such a wonderful touch. The shape is fashionably puffy but not so much that I look roly-poly, and it is somewhat collapsible and shape-conforming. I found the sizing of this jacket to be generous. I usually have to size up in coats to accommodate my broad shoulders and the extra bulk of sweaters and layers underneath, but my regular size fit perfectly in this jacket. Even the length is just right for my long-torsoed self - just long enough to cover the top of my low-rise jeans when I sit. Props to great customer service, too. I loved this jacket so much that I bought one in a second color late in the season. Two weeks later, the color was discontinued and it went on sale. I contacted LiveHelp, and received a prompt refund for the price difference. Can't beat that!

I love my Nuptse jacket so much, I had to get a vest for warmer days. The vest seems to be the exact same styling and fit as the jacket, just minus the sleeves. It's lightweight and comfortable, but super warm. The styling is puffy but not to bulky, and the fit is generous enough room to wear layers underneath. It has the same cozy fleece in the collar and hand pockets - so nice! It's the perfect piece for cool-but-not-cold days.

I agree with the other reviews about the great fit of this vest. It has a slender, body-conscious shape, and the long back is a nice touch. But I hate the mish-mash of colors! One color for the outside, a contrast color for the lining which is visible in several places, another color for the fleece in the collar, and yet another color for the trim. Plus all the stars and dots all over everything. So many colors! I just wanted a blue vest! Much too busy for my taste. I must be getting old, because my first thought was that it would be so cute for a teenager. Just not for me!

I bought this jacket for my husband this winter. He loves my TNF Nuptse, but neither of us wants to look like twins, so I shopped for something comparable but different. This jacket fits the bill. It's very lightweight and collapsible, but husband says it's toasty warm. He says it's very comfortable to wear and doesn't feel bulky. The quality is excellent, especially for the price. The fabric seems durable, the seams are tight, and the zippers are sturdy. No problems with feathers leaking or shifting. The styling is great too. The contrast colors and textures add interest without being too busy-looking. There are many generously-sized pockets inside and out. The shape is very masculine and boxy without looking too puffy or bulky. The only changes my husband says he would make would be to add fleece lining inside the collar and to make the overall length an inch or two longer. Those things would make it a perfect 5-star jacket, but he loves it anyway. Great purchase!
