I purchased the MHW Alcove 2 with the footprint and put it through a good test. It rained on us all night and the tent stayed dry, but I was not completely happy with the rain fly—you do not have enough straps to pull it away from the tent. Other than that, it worked great and kept us dry! Very easy to set up, the vestibule is very small, but large enough to keep your boots dry.
