Like all Salomon shoes these were comfortable straight out of the box. I purchased this pair a 1/2 size larger to comfortably accommodate an extra inner sole and double socks for longer walks. The quality of the workmanship is still as good as ever. Whether working to work or walking the hills these are good boots. Whether working to work or walking the hills these are good boots.
