I bought the Keen Newport H2 sandals just for our vacation. I wanted something that would hold up on hiking trails, in the sand, and in the surf that also had toe protection. We just got back from Kaua'i, where I hiked the trails, sandy beaches, and walked in the surf. (Yeah, it's Paradise!) After two weeks of abuse, on the sandals —not my toes, my Keen H2's still look new! Oh, yeah, I never did unpack my hiking boots; didn't need 'em. As they say in Hawaii, they're "ono"--da best!
