I exchanged this shoe for a Montrail Blue Ridge GTX hiking boot. This seems like a pretty nice shoe for urban trekking or smooth trail hiking but it feels insubstantial. The uppers are not real rugged and the sole/footbed is pretty thin. Would not want to be stepping on a lot of angular rocks with these. Comfortable though, and true to size.

Just got this jacket in a couple of days via priority mail and wore it walking the dog in a driving wet snow. Had a Patagonia Calipene #2 base layer under it and was perfectly warm and comfortable. This will be great for spring skiing, hiking etc. Never had a soft shell, so I can't say how it compares to a more expensive jacket but I am very surprised at how well it blocks wind. The medium is a good fit for me, 5'8" 165 lbs. Looks and feels great. Exceeds expectations and a tremendous value at the sale price. Shipping weight says 1 lb. 4 ounces.
