Ok, I made it my mission to find the warmest pair of ski gloves this year. I bought and returned three pairs from big name manufactures. I really liked the Swany X-13, but they were not available in my size at my ski shop. Then I begin to search the internet. I found results of Ski magazine glove test which made a big pitch for the Black Diamond Guide as the warmest gloves ever. Great, I thought, lets buy those bad boys. They were $150 but they were really design for climbing and not skiing. Very stiff... So I punted and went for the next model. Sure enough this site had the $100 Stratos on sale. No brainier…Gloves are super warm in the finger tips area, that’s where your hands get coldest. The construction of the removal liner is 1st rate. These are great gloves, wind and waterproof, highly breathable Polartec Pro Fleece…I highly recommend.
