Good pack, quick access. Funky pockets.

Used the pack all last season. Loved the ability to quickly sling the skis on the back without removing the pack. The elastic shock cord does stretch out and leads to a sloppy connection if used alot. I tied a few knots in it to take up slack to improve the situation. The inside pockets are well organized to control/organize gear but ends up stashing wet gear with dry gear b/c of the mesh lining for the pockets. After long tours it becomes a bit of a sloppy mess. The size is great for a few backcountry yo yo's but another 200ci would have been helpful for longer tours. Bomber material, the pack will be with me for a while.... |

A great axe for backcountry touring.

I've been using this axe for about a year since I purchased it here. I only use it for backcountry skiing around the Wasatch. It's extremely light and packable. It fits nicely on a daypack when going light. But when needed for a belay or a scamper up some steep exposed terrain, it fits the bill. Many I know take a hacksaw to traditional ice axes in order to make a similar device. Its price and portability make it second to none. |

| Scarpa Spirit 3 Alpine Touring Ski Boot This product is no longer available |
Love these boots.

Have used the boots for 3 months now. Touring with a Fat AT setup (Voile Insane, Dynafit Comfort) Stiff enough for aggressive skiing on soft snow right out of the box. Might want to get the stiffer tongue from Scarpa if you want more performance on firm/sketchy snow. Immensely tourable. For the weight, this boot is packed with performance. Only ding, would be better with Vibram sole.... mine is wearing a little bit with only mild climbing. |
