The North Face Blue Kazoo Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Down    This product is no longer available

Blue Kazoo on JMT   09-24-03

The bag worked excellent. I tend to sleep on the cold side, but I hiked the John Muir Trail in August / September using a Mountain Hardwear PCT2 and a 3/4 length Ridgerest pad and was not once cold in the night, not even my feet. The bag is light and compacts well, but lofts quickly, with a stuff sack which packs it into a diameter of about a bead roll, with 1/2 or 1/3 the length. The one thing that I would recommend however is the purchase of a Cocoon sleeping bad liner. Mine is of the "cool max" material. It adds 5 or so degrees to the bad, but most of all it keeps it clean and smelling like new, even when you don't!

The North Face El Cap Shirt - Mens - 2002 Model    This product is no longer available

The North Face El Cap   12-14-02

For the price this is actually a really well made long sleeve shirt. I have had mine for a little over a year, its been holding up great. The fabric is really lightweight, and dries fast. I actually don’t even ever put it in the dryer because by the time the spin cycle is over all I have to do is hang it up for a half hour or so. However if you have ten extra bucks, and you get cold easily go for the Cirque Top, which has much more of a fleece feel on the inside against your skin, I am sure you will not be disappointed.
