Drilling Holes/Setting Heel Bale
01-13-05 ![]() |
My Linken's are performing great - solid feel, easy in and out, strong edge hold. It took a few runs for me to get them dialed, though. First, be careful about the size of the holes you drill. Make sure you practice drilling on a piece of scrap first to get the hole diameter on target. Don't completely trust the instructions on this... I pulled my binding out of my ski 3/4 of the way up Mad River Glen, and ended up having to use inserts to re-mount the binding. On another note, set the heel bale closer to the front of the binding than you might think. The spring under the binding will expand to accomodate your boot, then compress to hold you snug in the binding. |
