As I've recently gone back to school, this bag is perfect for holding all needs & requirements of school life. Previously purchased the Mountain Smith Cairn bag (1100 cu in) for mountain biking - and this bag fits _inside_ the Rocket Slingbag. The shoulder pad is really padded so don't worry about the weight digging into your shoulders. My only grudge (which is small) is the front pocket is small for this size of bag (The Cairn front-pocket is much roomier).
