Just had to take a minute to sing the praises of this perfectly designed backcountry ski pack. Advertised as 4 season alpinism pack makes sense but this pack had to be designed with backcountry ski touring in mind. From the dedicated shovel pocket, freeze-proof hydration system, to the exterior sleeve for probe/picket/snow saw etc...a well thought out design. After designing the perfect pack BCA finished the job by using top end materials so you will be using this pack many years from now. The waterproof zippers and hydration set-up are two additional features you won't find anywhere else. I am amazed at the quality design and execution. The best bag out there for winter backcountry adventure.

Purchased this jacket as a mid layer to use under my shell during backcountry ski touring adventures. It has turned out to be the perfect combination of light weight and great insulating capabilities. Synthetic insulation that performs even when wet adds additional peace of mind when in the wild weather far from cover. The value is tremendous when compared to similar jackets on the market.
