I primarily run trails on my long weekend run (around 16-31 miles). I've tried a few of the more supportive road shoes and another trail shoe but felt like I was wearing bricks. I usually opted to wear my lightweight road shoes and suffer with sore feet and ankles from the rocks & roots versus wearing a clunky shoe. These shoes changed my mind. My feet stayed dry through numerous water crossing and mud and my feet and ankles were not sore. The weight did not bother me.
