This has been my travel (walk, ski, fly, that sort of travel) pack for the past two years. Fits me well, I have a short torso but I'm not a small woman. Holds lots which is good for the leader (err Mom), more room than I need for skiing on my own but since it cinches down nicely it’s not a problem. The straps fit well, it stays put on my back, so there's no mandatory turning when the pack shifts since it doesn't. The diagonal ski carry is very cool, well balanced. At first I thought it might be a problem in the brushy NE woods, but its not. And the top ski carry loop and the cinch straps work to hold my ski boots on the pack if I'm walking someplace in regular boots, or hold a jacket on a run through an airport. We have a heli and a heli pro (for two kids who need packs) and this one is the best for me. This pack has been up and down lots of unnamed backyard routes, all over the local ski area, to Utah, Switzerland and France loaded with my bc gear, on planes and trains. It’s a bit dirty but not worn or damaged. DAKINE makes good packs.

My new, much lighter tent. First outing: Moab for a week. It was rainy and windy. Good things: lightweight, easy put up and take down, quite small when packed, roomy inside for one, doesn't leak or drip condensation on me which was surprising because the overhead part of the tent is mesh, very sturdy in the wind, ventilation is good even buttoned up tight in a storm. Not so good: very tight for two, vestibule is small but its wind, rain tight, door zips take some getting used to. Needs more pegs and guy lines, isn't shipped with all it should/could use.
