Darn! This is one fine shoe. Years ago I bought an early North Face shoe that was stiff, confining and uncomfortable. This shoe is radically better! I am a dedicated trail runner, and this shoe really helps cushion the impact. I like the wide tongue and the tread is more than adequate. The fit is superb, but buy it at least a half size bigger than you may be used to.

These are great trail shoes. I've run with them over rocks, on scree, in mud, in the snow, and they suck it up and handle it. They seem to breathe very well, and have never been too hot, and certainly never cold. The tongue is unusually wide, and takes some getting used to, but is never a bother while running. Absorb shock very well. I am taking these to the mountains of Laos and Cambodia in a few weeks. My favorite trail shoe.
