After suffering a serious foot injury, I thought I would be stuck with boots for backpacking. These gems offered the support of a boot, without sacrificing comfort. I have hiked a total of 150 miles in them so far, most with a pack, and most days over 10 miles. So far, so good, from the very first hike.
