I purchased these shoes looking for a lightweight trail running shoe to run on the many farm roads near my home. I am an avid trail runner and have owned many different shoes. Most my shoes are bulky and are great for running in the Alps, but are a bit too built up for running on rather smooth trail/ logging roads. Although I expected these shoes to be light weight, I did not expect them to have such thin soles. They provide almost no cushioning, so that even the smallest rock feels like a boulder! I don't mean to sound like the tale of the princess and the pea, but one would expect more out of a trail shoe. Although not a great trail running shoe, their lightweight mesh would be great for beach runs on packed sand. Unfortunately, I live in the middle of Bavaria, so beach running is not an option. They were true to size, but had the world's longest laces!
