Seems to run large

They seem like decent quality shorts, but they do run large. There also is no chamois, so you would need some sort of liner unless you're using them strictly for DH/FR. Returned due to size and lack of chamois, exchanged for Nema Boost. |

The Sidewinder is back.

I've been a fan of the Sidewinder series since the mid-90s. This will be my 4th or 5th pair. Originally they were very moto-styled and not all that breathable, but very durable. Then the last pair I got in 2006 or so was a little too minimal - single-layer palm and the stitching started to fray almost immediately. The rubber finger "armor" came unglued pretty quickly. These, the current model, seem like a good balance of breathability and durability. They changed the seams around a bit so the inside thumb seam doesn't wear on the underside of the handlebar as much. |

Solid shoe so far.

I've had these out on 5-6 rides and I like them so far. Nice and stiff, but still comfortable. It's nice that there is a one-click-out button in case they start feeling too tight around ankle mid-ride. Like other reviewers are saying, they are good for wider, higher-volume feet. If in doubt, order a 1/2 size higher. |

Nemas are solid

Good breathability. Go a size large if in doubt. I've only had these for a month or two, but all of the Nemas I've owned over the years have had good long-term durability. Good shorts for the money. |
