great jacket. its cut a little big, but not too much. despite the customer svc at backcountry telling me there are no hand pockets, there are two pockets for your hands. there is also an inside pocket for your ipod. have not taken it out in the frigid cold but suspect that it will keep you warm and dry.

The pocket are all on the small side. The zipper in the front of the jacket next to the main zipper does not lead to a pocket. it's just a hole when you open that zipper. the material is very top notch and it almost feels like a softshell. The lining is not that thin, so if you want to layer, it feels bulky in the arms and armpits. my biggest problem with the jacket was that the wrist gaiters were not snug. they were all stretched out so it did not close around your wrist. i'm returning the jacket

just got this at the end of the season so i have not worn it in the cold. i wore it in the rain and this is a great jacket. it keeps the water out but you don't get all sweaty inside. only gripe is that there are not too many pockets. the chest pocket on the outside is the same pocket as the inside pocket. The hand pockets are rather small. the jacket looks sharp!
