These are my first real cycling shorts, the most expensive I've ever purchased. I feel and see the quality superiority. After spending hours and hours online investigating different brands, materials, and performance reviews and styles, I decided to get these Giordana Silverline Women's Cycling Shorts - Item #GIO0125. The price was the best I could find without sacrificing the comfort or style I wanted. I really like the wide band at the waist and the curved line around the back. The material is ultra soft too, like silk on my skin. The XS seems like it could easily fit a small except for the leg openings. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because the shorts slightly pinch at the leg openings in the front. It looks sleek from every angle except from the front's bottom edge. It's not noticeable while seated but I noticed it when standing. If I decrease overall body fat percentage and harden up my thigh muscles, this probably wouldn't be noticeable. My first cycling shorts are a success.

Dang, I was going to order another pair because I liked them so much but now they're sold out. These Oakley Vent MTB Item #OAK1854 shorts are very stylish. Great price too. I'm glad I bought them on sale at a great price before they were sold out. I agree, the zippers seem flimsy but I don't really care about that. I wear a Camelback so I don't need pockets. As for the front zipper, I think it will be fine if I take care when putting the shorts on and taking them off. A fair reason for the sale. I was planning on removing the liner because of the "diaper" liner effect mentioned in other reviews here but it's surprisingly not bad. The fit is snug in the right places for me: The widest part of my hip is 36" in the XS so it should fit anyone equal or smaller than that measurement. If you can wear a Large size, I highly recommend grabbing that last pair of while you can. I will definitely give Oakley more business because of their style.
