Could be fantastic: revised

As we age or gain weight, just who should be wearing lycra garb? I'm very happy to see baggy cycling apparel and Endura's build quality is amazing. I wear Assos cycling lycra and I would compare Endura to Assos. They look nice, the liner is a quality product in itself, there are a ton of pockets well situated for stuffing gear and not hindering one's riding. I wear a 35" waist and the XL has more than ample room. However, the riding experience lags far behind the appearance of these knickers. I prefer a thin pad for anything less than 100 miles and the liner pad of these knickers is too dang thick and stiff. The back of these knickers is cut too short for a comfortable riding position on my road, mountain and cyclo-cross bikes. My experience with these knickers and spring time riding has been decent, they've kept me fairly warm and dry. Unfortunately, the inadequate cut of the garment will not allow me to recommend them or purchase another pair. After 400 miles of spring and early summer riding with this garment, I have to they are awful. The fabric has pilled even though I've followed carefully the care instructions. If you leave the liner snapped into the waist band of the shorts, soon that liner is hanging around your mid-thighs when standing or bunching up in your crotch while riding. The back of these shorts is cut too damn short! I wish I could like this garment, but it plain sucks. |

It looks nice

Patagonia's products always show an amazing attention to design, craftsmanship and detail, the Rain Shadow is no exception. However, the designer for this jacket should be flogged. This jacket does not breathe, at all. It is lightweight and it is waterproof but if you are engaging on any aerobic activity beyond standing still, you will be a wet clammy mess within the jacket in no time. The zipper interior storm flap is on the left side of the zipper which means the zipper gets caught every time you use it. Or, you fold the storm flap back with one hand and then you fold it back when you're done zipping up. I have a $50 rain jacket from Dick's sporting goods that works better than this coat. |

Lightweight, breathes, is waterproof, does the job! Much better choice than the Patagonia Rain Shadow which is one of Patagonia's worst products. |

Excellent

I wore these for for a week straight, all day long, inside and outside on a job in the mountains. Excellent. Weather was anything from blizzarding to warm and sunny. I wore a thin set of longies as a base layer. Length is perfect and I wear a 35" inseam. I want North Face to make the gaitor much tighter. If you're wearing pac boots like Sorels, the gaitor is not tight at all. Overall, these are fantastic bibs! |

Good pants

These are good pants but I returned them as they weren't what I was wanting. I wanted a bib pant after I tried these one. BUT, they were also too long! I wear a 35" inseam in pants and the Long size, I'm happy to report, was too long for me. |

Horrible

This jacket could be good, but one has to be pear shaped to wear it. I ordered an XXL because I'm big across the shoulders, I'm not fat. The XXL was too dang tight across my shoulders and it was like wearing a bell. Get it if you like wearing a bell. |
