I don't know that the wind really gets shut out as much as I expected with this jacket, but it looks great and I like it as a light shell and as a layer underneath the *true* windstopper aka goretex. I would not, however, use this as an outer shell while skiing--wind is NOT kept out. The zipper of this jacket is crappy.

Not at this price, Oakley. You can do better.

Slipping in a grabber hand warmer packet betwen the liner and the outer shell adds even more warmth. I was surprised how easy it was to transition from gloves to mittens. I did it becauseIi have crap circulation and needed new gloves. I don't think I'll go back. These are great mittens and the gauntlet was great for the deep powder the first day I used them!
