Workmanship appears to be ok, these are NOT made in Italy as the representative of this store original told me (btw, this was the deciding factor of this purchase). Have treked the gorge at Little River Canyon with these and the traction is superb. The fit and feel is a little less than desirable; my feet literally ached afterwards and needed some downtime away from these particular shoes. We'll see what the future holds as far as construction. They breathe well, I'll give them that. I've been a fan of Scarpa for many years, though, I guess there's got to be a mistake or two every now and then.
