Only Skis You Need
12-21-08 ![]() |
This is a great ski. It has a nice even flex which is great in all snow conditions and excels in all terrain. It is fun to carve on the groomers, kicks butt in the bumps, and is fun for jumps. The turn initiation on this ski is so easy it seems like you are skiing on autopilot. The only reason I haven't sold my other skis is don't wish to wear out my Extremes this year. I could easily ski these every day! I'm an advanced skier who skis in Vermont. This ski will be versatile enough to take on trips out west. I mainly ski in the trees and bumps and the Extremes rock. If you are between sizes on this ski, don't be afraid to take the longer size. I mount mine as an all mountain ski toward the rear of the mounting zone. If you ski mostly park, you probably should center mount. By the way, there is not a better top or bottom sheet graphic on any ski this year! |

Great East Coast Ski
01-04-09 ![]() |
I live in Vermont and ski about 50 days per year. I'm 5'4" 150 and ski the Bridge in a 161. The ski has a big side cut so can turn on the dime and holds a nice edge on hard pack. Because the Bridge has a wide shovel and a decent size waist at 92mm underfoot, it also is very good in powder. This is a very ideal for the conditions we get on the east coast and if you did not want to invest more money in a true big mountain powder ski would be a fine choice for skiing out west once per year. The one aspect about this ski I was most truly amazed about was the pop it gives you in jumps. This ski absolutely flies in the air and is like butter on landings. In fact, I like its pop and butter better than my park specific ski, the K2 Extreme. This ski is also super fast. You step on this thing and it will really reward you with speed and stability. |

If You Like Vests, Look No Further
01-13-09 ![]() |
If you like vests, this is your huckleberry. I'd rate this 5 stars, but for $130 for a damn vest is too much. With that said, it's a great mid-layer for 25-35 degree days and a good outer layer on spring days. It is also stylish enough for apres. The vest also sports good pockets, the one on the breast is perfect for an ipod. |

Great Value
01-13-09 ![]() |
For the money, this is a tough ski pant to beat. These pants are not the warmest you can find, but are not bad either. I see this as a pant you can wear in 25 degree weather or warmer. It is very lightweight and has plenty of vents, which make it a great option for spring skiing as well. The zippers and snaps work great and the pockets are in good places. So far, these seem to be waterproof too. |

Nice Binding
01-12-09 ![]() |
I'm not an expert on binding technology, but I will say that I feel like I have great control of my skis with these. I have them mounted on my Volkl Bridge skis and they rip through turns and stomp landings. Cool graphics on the binding too. |

Go Yellow!
01-10-09 ![]() |
The yellow lens is the absolute best color I've ever used. I ski in Vermont where conditions are often cloudy and overcast. The yellow lens actually amplifies your field of vision so you can more easily focus on terrain features. The lens does the same thing for night skiing. If you typically ski mountains where the sun is shining, go with a mirrored lens, but a yellow lens is always good to have in your repertoire. |

Great Goggle For Smaller Faces
01-09-09 ![]() |
I have used quite a few goggles and the Anon Figment is probably the best one I've ever owned. I have a smaller face so prefer a smaller goggle; the figment is perfect size. I would not recommend this goggle to someone who has a big face. The goggle never fogs and there are plenty of lens options. I prefer the yellow lens for my typical east coast ski days and the gold mirror or blue lens on a sunnier day. The goggle works great in conjunction with a Red (Burton) helmet. I actually own two of these goggles because I like it so much, plus it allows me to exchange lenses to both my primary and backup pair. Just do me a favor if you are planning to get this goggle...do NOT get the Irie color. I want to be the only one on the hill with this color! |

Stylish Hoodie
01-04-09 ![]() |
My girlfriend suggested I get this hoodie after looking at in online at Backcountry.com. I thought it looked nice from the picture. I wanted something a little different than your run-of-the-mill looking hoodie and I must say this delivers. In fact, this hoodie exceeded my expectations; it looks much better in person. I would consider this a lightweight hoodie; it has an interesting little stash pocket above the right hand pocket. I'd give this hoodie a 5-star rating, but I think it is slightly overpriced. I think the $30-$40 range would be a better price. |

Nice Simple Hat
01-13-09 ![]() |
I bought the gunmetal color of this hat. There are no frills with this hat, but it looks good and matches my apparel. I picked it up on a whim to get free shipping for spending $50 and am glad I did. |

Superb Sock - Great Price
01-13-09 ![]() |
I bought this sock on a whim to spend over $50 to get the free shipping. I've always been a fan of the Euro Socks and I am quite particular on the ski sock I use. I must say, I wish I had tried this Smartwool sock before getting hooked on the Euro Socks! The sock is very comfortable and gives you a good feel when connected to your ski boot. They put the padding in all the right spots and it seems to stay drier than the Euro. At this price, I should have bought ore! |

Comfortable & Perfect Connection To Boot
12-21-08 ![]() |
I like a sock that connects my foot to the boot for optimal performance. This sock is about the best one I've ever worn. I've tried smartwool, fox river, and others but the Euro Supreme seems to put padding in all the right spots without being too bulky. You may find warmer socks, but this one is comfortable and performance oriented. |
