I just move to Seattle and wanted a winter pant that I could wear around town yet also go hiking in. I also wanted a pant that would do well in wind or light rain. I wear these pants half of my days off. They're great- they look good (not like a pair of technical hiking pants), they're comfortable, but.... they're EXPENSIVE. The only reason I'd give them 4 stars is the price.

My wife and I each got a pair of these. We both found them to be extremely comfortable, warm and convenient to get into and out of with the sliding laces.

I love these socks. The only problem I have found are steep downhills where the space in between my toes bottoms out in the sock as my foot slides forward- it hurts. If I am not going down something steep- these are my first choice sock- especially for hot weather.

Awesome and versatile piece. Comfortable for a plane ride (i.e., not itchy) wearing over a t-shirt, yet great on a light hike in the 40's-50's.

Itch factor (0=none and 10= very)= 1-2 Looks great, feels great, seems durable. Relatively snug fit- don't get it if your on the pudgy side.
