Purchased another one because mine needed to be retired. I hunted high and lower before my purchase to see if I could find something better but i found myself going back to old faithful.

Just bought a new one to replace my almost ten year old one. They made some improvements to the old version and did not ruin the orginal design. I am looking forward to another 10 good years of climbing with the new one.

The new toe strap idea rocks! It does make strapping in faster and easier. Just watch out for the strap catching your toe when stepping out or you may find yourself on your face. I suggest you buy the Salomon boots that match these bindings. They work together as a great pair and are very comfortable. No need to over tighten them to get the control you need. I have been riding these for 3 seasons now and a buddy who has been riding them for 4.
