To prepare a clean, hassle free workspace, tape paper and the skins themselves to your kitchen floor. Have several strips of brown paper to remove the old glue and have a few beers handy because, if it's really caked on and dirty, it takes a couple hours to take the old glue off. I never got the bases totally dry. You will want to ventilate when putting on the new glue. The brush in the can is very handy. Getting glue on the plush-side fibers was never an issue. Two coats of glue, rather than the instructed three, seemed fine. I don't know how much easier BD's hot reglue sheets are to use, but this method was very easy, it just took a while. Besides, if you buy the can, than you always have some glue for touching up.

Before buying this wax I had read that plain old candle wax works just as well. I don't know. For 5 bucks it's no big deal and it definitely worked. You get a lot for the price, I will have this bar for a long time to come.
