Black Diamond Deploy 3 Shovel    This product is no longer available

Sweet Shovel   01-20-09

This little shovel is small, which makes it the go to shovel for me for sidecountry, slackcountry, and anything where space is an issue. It doesn't move as much snow as a bigger shovel, but if you use it right, you can move a lot of snow fast. We built kickers with a couple of these and it takes no linger than normal, or we dig out our cars after long days of snow. I have also used it to aid in a recovery, and under pressure it preformed well. The square handle is easy to hold onto with wet or snow covered gloves. Awesome little shovel!

Oakley Gas Can   01-19-09

I got these sunglasses last summer, and they really did the trick. My only problem with them is they sometimes don't like to stay on my head when I am doing some activities, or even looking down. When they fall, my one lens tends to pop out too, so it was getting annoying. But it is a nice pair of sunglasses, by an awesome company.

Righteous Goggles   12-17-08

I love my Oakley A-Frame goggles! I got the text graphic with the HI Yellow lens, which works out pretty good for almost any lighting, even night skiing. They fit monster well into the Giro G10 MX helmet, and don't fog on me at all. I have even skied with glasses on under them, and they worked all right, not super well. All in all a monster goggle!

obSETHed is TOP   12-17-08

I just rode my first day on my new obSETHeds, and they rip! Mounted PX 15 Ti on them, and went out on a monster pow day in BC. They handled so top, it was like a dream. Thank you K2, thank you Seth!

Leatherman Skeletool Multi-Tool    This product is no longer available

Leatherman Skeletool CX   01-24-09

First off I have the CX version, which isn't really that different from the normal version except for the carbon inserts, and the partially serrated blade. They both weight the same though, so I bought it mostly for the serrated blade, which comes in handy if you need to slice webbing or rope quickly. Some people like a tool with more functions, but if you are really going into the backcountry you will probably bring bigger tools. The functions on here can do a large number of functions. I can do all my binding repairs, or most gear repairs during day trips skiing with just this.

Adventure Medical Ultralight & Watertight .7 First Aid Kit    This product is no longer available

Personal Med-Center.   01-24-09

This kit has everything you need for a short day trip hike in the woods, to a several day long backcountry excursion. I carry this thing pretty much everywhere, in my truck on when I travel, or in my bag when I'm hiking out backcountry touring. I have had to use it on many occasions, but the equipment is pretty easy to replace, except for a few items, that I would just replace the whole kit if I had the need to use them.

Sigg Lifestyle Water Bottle - Screw Top - 1.0L    This product is no longer available

Sigg bottle.   01-24-09

I love these water bottles, they are handy, easy to drink out of, and durable. They can handle being dropped from some heights, with only minor damage. They never leak, and best of all are re-useable! No more wasted bottles everyday. Just refill and go!

Helly Hansen Legend Pant - Men's    Read other reviews of this product

Legend-ary   01-20-09

These pants are so awesome, I can't even tell you. Helly always does it right, and this definitely isn't an exception. They aren't really for the people that like a super baggy ski pant, they fit more like a traditional pant. The insulation is WarmCore, at least I'm pretty damn sure. Either way, they are really warm, have a nice tear resistant coating on the cuff, and look good. Kudos Helly.

Patagonia R1 Flash Fleece Pullover - Mens    Read other reviews of this product

Super Duper Fleece   01-20-09

I got this fleece as a gift, and I am so stoked on it. I use it pretty much as my fall/spring outer-layer, and for driving to school in the winter. But mostly, I use this as a thin mid-layer for skiing. It fits perfectly over a Helly Dry base-layer, and under my Helly Softshell. It moves with you, and has that added bonus of being super stylin' while sitting in the chalet!

Black Diamond Outlaw Winter Pack - 1831-1939cu in    This product is no longer available

Black Diamonds   01-19-09

This is an awesome pack. It has the nice sturdy internal frame to keep the back panel ridged, and you can clip things to it if you need to. The hydration pocket is right on the back panel access flap, meaning you can refill your bladder without emptying your pack. The goggle pocket is nice and plush, so you can leave your goggles in there without a micro bag if you really wanted to. The insulated sleeve is a good touch, keeps that H2O flowin'. The hip belt pockets are a sweet addition too, keeping a bar or multi-tool or camera always at the ready. The ski carry system works very well, in both positions, and even holds my 179 K2 ObSETHed with no problems. The sternum strap has a built in whistle, just for the icing on top!

Giro 2008 G10 MX Helmet    Read other reviews of this product

Ridiculous Helmet   01-19-09

This helmet, is MAD! My Oakley A-Frames fit almost perfectly with it, and are protected in the trees by the wicked visor. The fitting is good, with the custom/micro adjustment in the back, which keeps it from bouncing around once you get it dialed. And then, above all, it keeps your brains where they belong on those monster tomahawks down the face.

Black Diamond Bbee Backpack - 732cu in    This product is no longer available

Black Diamond Bbee   01-19-09

I got this backpack as an inbounds ski pack, and for day hikes and short trips. Now I use it for all this, and more. It has become my carry-on bag, my school pack, and my biking pack. My only real problem with it is the lack of back venting. It is only one solid piece of mesh, which really restricts the air-flow during high intensity activity.

Dalbello Sports Krypton Pro I.D. Ski Boot     Read other reviews of this product

Boot Bliss   12-17-08

These boots are so righteous. I found out about them through a deal offered by the CSIA, and they turned out the best boots I have ever had the pleasure of shredding the gnar in. The three piece design, with the separated tongue piece, is a must to get your foot out with ease on those freezing days. The ankle buckle pulls your foot perfectly into the pocket, and keeps it there, making toe bang a goner! Thank Dalbello!

Grip like a gorilla   12-17-08

These bindings are super bomber. I mounted the on the K2 obSETHed ski, and they grip like gorillas. They released as prayed for on a gnarly bail, and held awesome on aggressive GS-like turns. Good job Look!

Smith I/O Interchangeable Optics Spherical Series Goggles - Mirror Lens    Read other reviews of this product

Sick Goggle   04-21-09

Gotta love my Smith I/Os. Rocked them for a full season and I have no complaints, I don't find that mine have the wind through the bottom while going fast problem. The optical clarity is so good, better than my Oakley A-Frames I find. The change is super fast and easy, and comes in so handy up in northern BC where the weather goes from sunny to white-out in a matter of an hour. They fit incredibly well with my Giro G10MX, gone is the gaper gap. The two lenses that come with it, the Sensor and Platinum mirrors, are the perfect two lenses to have, Platinum in the bright morning sun, and the Sensor for those white-out and cloudy days, and nights. The foam is super plush, and feels so comfy.

Von Zipper Skitch Sunglasses - Polarized    This product is no longer available

Von Zips!   04-18-09

I got these last summer, and I have to say, I love them. The visual clarity is amazing, and the polarization saves my eyes on the brightest days heading to the hill, or to class, or even to work. Grabs onto my head very nicely, which is something my casual wear Oakley's never did, and allow me to do whatever I want wearing them. Aviators just suit my face, and these ones make it look the best.

Nalgene Tritan Wide Mouth BPA-Free Bottle - 32oz    This product is no longer available

Super Solid Bottle   04-02-09

I am pretty much in love with my Nalgene. It's a great bottle for a long hike, holding plenty of water and maybe some ice cubes on the scorcher days. It holds together a lot better than my Sigg bottle (which is also a good bottle) because it won't dent at all, and there isn't any paint to scratch. I carry mine everywhere, to class, to work, in the ski lodge, and at the climbing gym or the rock face. You can throw in those flavour packets for water, and have no fear of it holding the taste or smell. I highly recommend this bottle.
