Weird sizing
11-23-08 ![]() |
I loved the feeling of the fabric, and am sure it would be very warm. However, I ordered a medium, which is normal sizing for me. It was perfect in the waistband but extremelly tight in the crotch, they were VERY low-rise, I could barely get my heel through the cuff, and the thighs were uncomfortably tight. I probably would have had to go with an XL to get the right sizing in the legs, but then the waist would have been huge. I don't know what shape of woman would be comfortable in these, but they were not good for me, and I'm pretty average shaped. |

OK jacket

I love the way this coat looks, but there are a few things I don't like about it. I got it in camel/marron, which is awesome! I thought it would be slightly green from the pic online, but it's more tan/brown. It looks great on - very flattering. The things I dislike about it are: even with the liner, the arms get a little cold (you really need some layers underneath if it's below 20F out, more than the regular long sleeve shirt I usually wear); the hood is NOT removable as the website specifies, it only has a strap with which you can pin the hood up; the sleeves of the liner are tight and fleece-y, so it's very difficult to get any type of sleeve into it, which makes the aforementioned layering quite difficult. You literally have to grab the inside of the liner sleeve and push your arm into it while holding your base layer sleeve down - very difficult. And, just about as difficult to get it off! And lastly, the pockets leave quite a bit to be desired. The hand pockets on the outside are pretty small, but nice; the inner pockets in the liner have holes in the bottom corners - I have yet to figure out why that is. All in all, I'd say it's more of a fashion statement than a good, technical piece of gear. I expected a lot more functionality (and warmth) for the price. |

These are wonderful! No fogging (until I walk inside after being out on the slopes when I forget to take them off and have my hands full). Fits perfectly with my Giro Fuse helmet. Very happy. |

Great helmet

This is a wonderful helmet. It's the first helmet I've owned - of course I didn't like the idea of wearing one, and couldn't imagine how it could possibly be comfortable, but you really don't even notice you have it on! I wear a headband under it on cold days, and open all the vents on warm days, and am never disappointed. I got a large - I have a big head, but I probably could have gone with a medium, but I like the versatility so it works no matter how I wear my hair, or if I wear a headband or not - I can always adjust with the dial in back. I tried on several brands, but I guess I have a Giro-shaped head. If your head is similarly shaped, this is an extremelly comfortable helmet. Lightweight, adjustable, versatile, perfect. |
