Pros: Gore-tex soft shell, nice fit and cut...not too short not too long, ideal pocket location and number of pockets. Cons: Does not have a helmet friendly hood, Does not have a Recco tag, no insulation, quite small cuffs with no snow gaiters, zippers are small however they work pretty well, jacket lacks any form of an MP3 player friendly pocket, width of had pockets could be larger. Bottom line, this jacket is a nice deal for under $400. It would be an extremely nice product if it fixed some of the features listed above.

These skis are hands down the best all around boards I have been on to date. These beasts are at home in any conditions on the mountain. I have skied Squaw on 1 1/2 foot days, groomers at Vail and bumps at Telluride with nothing but ease. These skis are plenty fat in the tip and under foot to keep you a float on deep days. In addition, they have a nice side cut and stiffness which makes them cut into groomers and hard pack almost like a front side ski. Last but not least, these puppies have an appropriate flex which allows them to excel in bumps and in the park. Im a feather weight at 130 ish and 5"7 and I ski on the 168 with my DIN at about 8 to 9. They fail to hold me back from any type of skiing I am into. The only thing I can think of that they are questionable in is that the tail seems just a hair stiff for stepping into steep, tight "side step only" spots like between rocks and what not. Otherwise, no issues. They are also a very durable ski. I have hit many rocks with them and had minimal base and edge damage. Sick deal for under $500 too!

Overall, this is a good pant. I initially though they would be too baggy however that is not the case. The pocket set up is ideal for all types of skiing and the venting is a bonus as well. The only problem I had with these pants is they are not super durable. With in a few days of riding I already had small cuts in the inner boot region. If these pants had some re-enforcing panels in that location they would be sweet! Nice color selection too. These pants will be cool to have in another 15 years when neon colors come back again!

These gloves are pretty sweet. However, they aren't my first choice for single digit or negative temperatures. I used them in Colorado in -7 and 5 degree F temps and my hands got pretty cold. I now use these for double digit days and stick with my heli pros for the cold days.

Like all hestra products these gloves are very nice! These gloves are sweet however like the post before mentioned, they don't exactly fit under the cuff of small cuff jackets especially Gore-tex soft shell jackets. They just fit on mine but it was impossible to get the second cuff over the glove with the opposite glove already on. Bottom line these gloves are great, if your jacket has small cuffs and you would like to be able to take your gloves off while skiing I would recommend a different model. I have the Seth Morrison gloves which work well for small cuffs. I think I will return these leather patrol gloves and opt for either another pair of Seth gloves or the Full length heli glove.

I have these shoes, last years model and the non gore-tex model. They are hands down some of the best shoes I have ever owned. They fit to the shape of my foot very well and are very comfortable. I use the gore-tex shoes for walking to class when it is wet out and or snowy and they are almost like wearing boots. Your feet stay dry and comfy. I also use these shoes for backpacking and all sorts of outdoor exploration. The only questionable thing is that they don't have Vibram soles, so they don't have out of this world traction. They are also not fun if you fall in the water with them on, the gore-tex keeps the overflow water in for a while. The cool thing about these shoes though is if they get stinky you can fill them up with some hot water and tide with bleach, let them soak overnight, rise them out and they are good as new! Hands down, awesome shoe. Also if something breaks on them, Salomon will replace them!

Pretty cool gloves. They fit quite tight but apparently they are suppose to have a "Fits like a Glove" fit. They are about as thick as a spring glove so I am quite curious to see how warm they truly are on cold days. The lifetime warranty is cool most companies don't offer that. They are a pretty sick design too!

The hat is nice quality however I found even with the fleece liner, it is quite itchy around the face. The wool is exposed at the base of the hat and it is a bit uncomfortable. This wool is not as soft as a smartwool product. Im contemplating on returning the hat or doing some mcgiver work on it to make it more comfortable.
