I had never been hiking, and indeed rarely wear sneaker-type shoes, but this were cute (love the blue and gray combo) and functional! I have wide feet and often have to buy a size 8.5 or 9 for dress shoes (depending on the style), but the size 8 fit perfectly. They are definitely breathable and my feet still felt great after a 3 hour hike up and down a steep and gravel-covered trail. Not well-suited to hiking through sandy areas, as the breathable mesh allows fine sand to accumulate inside the shoe, but that was my own fault for not thinking of that ahead of time. Overall, a great buy!

I've never gone hiking before, but my boyfriend is an avid outdoorsman so we planned to do some hiking on vacation at Lassen Volcanic National Park this past week. I bought these pants because they were highly reviewed, and I was not disappointed! They are comfy, lightweight, and I love that the waist is more relaxed and low-rise. Plenty of pockets and the option to roll up is great. My only complaint is that even though TNF makes these in multiple lengths, I couldn't find anywhere that actually carried anything but the regular length! I'm a bit under 5'4" so I had to spend a little extra to get them hemmed before our trip, but I still think these were worth the money - I may buy another pair in a different color! (c:

This shirt is super-cute, but I am returning it because the sizes run extremely large. I am about 5' 4" and relatively petite, and I recall others saying TNF runs a bit big so I ordered a small instead of extra small because 1) I didn't want it to be super-tight anyhow, and 2) I'm a bit busty. But, even the size small felt like a medium or large! Too bad, it's very cute, soft material, and a flattering cut.

This jacket has a very flattering cut and is nice and warm considering how lightweight it is, but I didn't like the stiffness of the fabric.

This sock was well cushioned and kept my feet nice and toasty. Wish they came in some lighter color combos, but I would definitely buy more of these!

I too was looking for an inbetween season jacket that would be good for both hiking in mild weather and keeping warm in slightly cooler temps. This jacket has been perfect! I love the bright blue color, and the lining is fairly warm for such a lightweight jacket. Also really like the pockets and ability to cinch the sleeves. Very reasonably priced compared to other similar styles/brands -- definitely a great buy!

These are incredibly soft and breathable, and I love the boyshort style. They aren't quite as low-rise as my usual, but are far from granny-panties. I thought they might be a more snug fit to keep the lower leg portion in place under pants, but it isn't overly troublesome. Wish they came in more colors!

I was looking for a warm in-between jacket to wear when it isn't heinously cold, and this fits the bill but I didn't like the "new taupe" color -- it's kind of a very dark army green. It seemed slightly big but maybe just because the sleeves are a tad long. That's actually nice because I hate when your wrists get cold due to short sleeves and/or gloves, and the extended hem in the back is a good idea as well.

I've actually never been snowboarding before but I am determined to learn this winter! I was looking through the options just to see, and bought these because they were rated so highly (and they were on sale!)... the fit is more flattering than I would've thought possible for snowboard pants, and the color is great! My only complaint is that you can't really tell from the picture that the sassafras pants actually have a light pinstripe as well, and I bought these to go with the Burton Duchess jacket that was also sassafras but had a gingham pattern... might swap the pants for white, but will definitely get the same brand/style again!

I like this shirt - I bought the squid red color and it is both comfortable and very flattering. I haven't tested it outdoors yet, but I'm sure the performance material will hold up just fine.

I agree with another reviewer - I bought a small because I didn't want the shirt to be too tight and I'm a bit busty, but it felt more like a medium or large! Very cute shirt, though -- lightweight and soft fabric.
