I wear custom made Arizona braces because of arch tendon problems. Salomon Solaris 2's are the only shoe that works for me. They have a loose tongue and superman lace loops. I have to really crank on the laces to get a snug fit over the braces. I've had several pair and never a failure. There is no break in period. They are ready to go (for miles) right out of the box. If they discontinue this shoe I'll be considering dragging the decider from behind my truck :-) .
