I read a lot of reviews before buying boots for my dogs. These boots are a little pricey, but they are well worth the cost. There are also socks to go with these boots - they're better used in the winter than in the summer. If you properly size your dog's feet, the boots fit great. The velcro closure is secure, and the grip tex on the bottom is awesome. I've used these boots on trails in the woods and on the streets in my neighborhood. I can't say whether or not dogs can swim with them on because I have Labs and I take the boots off before they go swimming. I bought these boots mainly so my dogs wouldn't get cut from debris when I walked them, but also so they wouldn't suffer from cracked pads in the winter (I tried the pad wax product one winter - not worth it). Ruff Wear products are great and durable. And, if you ever have a question, they are always very helpful.

I read lots of reviews on this pack before making my purchase. The harness is better than other packs available, and it's nice that you can remove the pack from the harness so easily. The only con is that I have a skinny dog and the harness buckled a little at his hips and wasn't snug on even the tightest setting. The harness and pack stay in place well and the dog can maneuver as if he had no pack on. The pack is constructed well with sturdy fabric. The water bladder was flimsier than I expected (foil bladder as opposed to thin plastic bladder) and I had trouble removing the caps and had to ask the manufacturer how to do it. The water bladder is a superb feature, as I have a dog that drinks a lot of water (not to mention I walk multiple dogs at a time). The storage area is large with expansion possibility; lots of pockets to put stuff in (little pockets on top are great for empty poop bags). I highly recommend this pack for anyone considering using a pack on their dog for hiking or carrying a large load. This site has the best price by far and the pack is well worth the money! I have two other packs by different manufacturers (they were far less expensive), and they don't stay in place at all.
