diesel!!

I've had this jacket for about 2 months and love it. Its November in New England and although I have not seen any snow yet i've seen some serious rain and have never felt so protected. Between two jobs school and no vehicle I walk almost ten miles a day and wear this shell constantly(not to bulky for everyday use). Oh and the hood is no holds barred the best I have ever seen, and I sell gear for a living. |

PERFECT!!!
12-07-08 ![]() |
Just got back from a winter camping trip in northern CT, and these pants were perfect! Temperatures at night dropped to 27 degrees, and with just shell pants over them I was comfortable. Very comfortable as well, great waistband and very soft feel. Temperature regulation was superb (from strenuous hiking and gear laden ascents and descents to peeing in the snow at night). Stink control is phenomenal, just washed them after a few weeks of wearing almost everyday, and they still didn't smell. Highly recommend, buy some now (better than capilene) |

Perfect all around pack
07-27-08 ![]() |
I love this pack. I have traveled with it, and never have to worry about my straps getting trashed by baggers(the small pack is perfect for carry on, fill your water bladder at a water fountain). Backpacking is ok but a bit heavy, I can however fit all my gear for a long weekend or longer in it. The rain cover is great, I carry my tent on the bottom(tadpole 23), and the rainfly still covers everything. If you can afford one pack for a multitude of uses this is it. I highly recommend it. |

I friggin love these pants. From walking to work, scrabbling through scree and trees, or climbing. Stretchy and durable. No back pockets but why would you need them in the backcountry. Definitely recommend. |

Yeah Yeah Yeah
04-08-09 ![]() |
Alright so this is a nice jacket, but I must see 30-40 a day on the streets so if you get one get some wacky color or sometihng. There are much better jackets out there for the price like monkey phurs or or just about any 300 weight fleece. So unless you need something to zip into your TNF jacket or you want to be like everybody else get creative and find another fleeced. Oops did I say fleeced. |

Alright Jacket
04-08-09 ![]() |
This jacket is fine, but I agree with other reviewers that you could get a better jacket for the price. It does fine in snow, but saturates in rain and could be lighter. It needs a snow skirt to be a good ski coat, and lighter material to be a good rain shell. So all and all not to bad. |

Good all around
04-08-09 ![]() |
First of all these are very comfortable, the lacing and tongue design are great. They're easy to tune in by tightening the laces, for comfort or good feel. As others have stated probably not great for anything specific but good all around. I have used them in the gym, on granite and limestone and the performed fine. I also have had problems with the heel, I have narrow heels as it is but considering I got them from you guys for $32!!!!!!!! I'm more than happy. |

If you need something this tough!!
03-23-09 ![]() |
Great pack used it this season ice climbing in CT, and Vermont. Easily held puffy coat, hardshell, helmet, water bottle in parka, rope, screws, harness, snacks, binocs, heavy gloves, ice gloves, thermos, slings, camera, carabiners, axes(danglers a little wierd but work fine),and crampons(in kangaroo pocket). The wieght was fine, even traverseing up the side of smuggs.I have also used this pack for a couple overnighters, and can fit my tent, sleeping back, stove, thermarest,EZlite, water, food and extra clothing. Mind you this is a little overloaded, but worked fine.If your wondering about durability, I had to carry my girlfriends pack down about 200 feet of near vertical snow, and chucked this pack down it!! you would never even know. So if you need something this tough its worth the money. |

Better than expected
12-07-08 ![]() |
When I first got this coat I was a little disappointed, I expected it to be a little warmer. Since then I have fell in love with it. I can fit my monkey man on under it and it does not bunch up at all, so that delt with any warmth issues. As a softshell its wonderful, excellent wind and water resistance. The cut allows for great movement. Just came back from a trip where i climbed with my pack on and this jacket did great. Highly recommend. |

Solid and light
12-07-08 ![]() |
Just got back from the first winter backpacking trip in northern CT, and these pants worked great. I wore them over midwieght wool long underwear, and they weren't bulky or constrictive (waist is just above belt line and suspenders are in just the right spots). Climbed some decent rock ascents and never worried about them getting hurt in anyway, very durable. I also walk to school and two jobs in New England and carry these as my everyday rain pants (pack relatively small, I carry mine in an eagle creek half cube). Can't find harsh enough weather yet to even get these pants close to their potential. Highly recommend these worth every penny !!!! |

my fur of choice

The warmest to weight fleece I own. Compared with my TNF denali, arc'teryx covert cardigan, and apache, it is definitely my go to warm layer. It breathes great feels great and, is very packable. |

I have owned 3 recons
04-13-08 ![]() |
I love this backpack. Of the 3 i owned two were stolen, and the one i own now i have had for years. I have traveled alot with bag,and camped some. It is also a great rock climbing bag, plenty of room inside for gear, a rope buckles on top, and jacket strapped to bottom. When camping i strap my sleeping bag to the bottom, and jacket to the top, with just enough room inside for a couple days worth of gear. |
